Introducing ‘The Local Lens’ – A Photography Project to Celebrate Local Businesses in Buckinghamshire

As a photographer, I’ve always found that the best moments happen when we take the time to truly see the people, places, and stories around us. This year, I’m excited to share something close to my heart—‘The Local Lens’, a new photography project I’m starting from January through April.
What Is ‘The Local Lens’?
For the next few months, I will be focusing my camera on the amazing local businesses in Buckingham and Milton Keynes, capturing their unique spaces, products, or the people behind them. My goal is simple: to shine a spotlight on the wonderful small businesses that make our community vibrant and diverse.
Every week, I’ll be visiting a different local business, taking a photo that captures their essence, and sharing it on my social media feed along with a caption about their story. Whether it’s a local café with a cosy vibe, a shop with unique offerings, or a service that makes our lives easier, ‘The Local Lens’ will be a way to highlight the businesses that make these towns so special.
Why Am I Doing This?
The answer is simple: I want to connect.
As a business owner and photographer, I know how powerful it is to have a supportive community. By featuring local businesses, I hope to not only showcase what makes each one unique, but also build stronger connections with you all.
The best part? I’m offering this project for FREE. It's my way of giving back to the community that has supported me and the businesses that make it so special. I see this as an opportunity to connect, learn, and share, all while using my lens to tell the stories of the hardworking people who contribute to our area’s charm and character.

I’ll be reaching out to business owners in the area, but if you happen to see this and would like to participate, I would absolutely love to hear from you! Whether you own a café, a boutique, a studio, or any other type of business, I’d be honoured to photograph you and your space.
