MY STORY - GET TO KNOW ME
Nice to meet you.
My name is Katie, and I’m the girl behind the lens at Katie Mayer Photography! I’m a lifestyle family, couples and personal branding photographer based in a small town in Buckinghamshire. I live with my boyfriend (who is a fantastic wedding photographer, check him out!) and my cat Boo!
This is my creative space and my safe place to share with you the places I’ve been and the people I’ve met. When I am not taking photos, you can find me exploring the English countryside, getting absorbed in a book or drawing pretty things on scraps of paper.

Laidback, fun and creative storytelling
I love to capture people the way they are and try to find out what’s special about them. I will make sure to get to know my clients and have a chat before the photoshoot takes place to get to know the personalities I’ll be capturing with my camera; a quirky kid, a loving grandfather, a loved up couple or an Instagram influencer who loves coffee… everyone has a story to tell!
My shoots are relaxed and fun and I would encourage you to be yourself. Don’t worry, I am not going to make you smile and pose awkwardly (unless that is what you want - hello, editorial shoots!) In fact, I encourage you to laugh, dance around, kiss, cuddle - do whatever makes you happy and just be YOU! After all, we are not just capturing moments… We are capturing memories.
During events and when shooting on location, I try to capture what’s around and set the mood for the photographs as much as I can, focusing mainly on natural and candid moments in a documentary style.

My Photography Style
How would I describe my style? Lifestyle, Documentary, Candid, VIBRANT, natural and FUN.
Family photography is about storytelling and capturing the love, emotion and the connections we share. It’s knowing that childhood is so fleeting and cherishing every milestone and moment, no matter how big or small it may be.
Every one of your images is edited in the Adobe Lightroom suite in my signature style, with consistent colour balance, tones and contrast across all the images in your gallery.

My partner in crime, photography and life! You will often meet Dave on shoots as my assistant and second photographer. Also, if for whatever reason I cannot attend a shoot, he will step in to take my place
